INFORMATION
I think I always was a writer and a poet, but I remember clearly my Lyceum years and my debut as a writer with a long fiction story. For that one, I was applauded by the prof and students alike. I didn't stop writing and started poetry as well. As an adult, I took additional classes online, Iowa State University for creative writing and poetry, Wisconsin for Greek and Roman Mythology.
I am a pensioned older widow now with all the time I need to write, write, and write more. Many poems were published in a variety of literary magazines, anthologies, journals online and in print.
I hope to find a publisher now for two series of stories and a chapbook of 42 related poems.
Meanwhile, I enjoy new friendships and wonderful reviews for my posts at FanStory.

Marjon van Bruggen: Someone just sent me a poem that I would like to share with you.
For the beauty
For the actuality
For the simplicity
It seems as if it was written today, but it was written in 1869 by Kathleen O'Mara. Reprinted in 1919 during the Spanish Flu Pandemic.

And people stayed at home
And read books
And listened
And they rested
And did exercises
And made art and played
And learned new ways of being
And stopped and listened
More deeply
Someone meditated, someone prayed
Someone met their shadow
And people began to think differently
And people healed
And in the absence of people who
Lived in ignorant ways
Dangerous, meaningless and heartless
The earth also began to heal
And when the danger ended and
People found themselves
They grieved for the dead
And made new choices
And dreamed of new visions
And created new ways of living
And completely healed the earth
Just as they were healed.

I hope you enjoyed it just as I did.
Take care, you lot,
Marjon.

Alchera: Kathleen O' Mara's poem is a little praying gem lost in the ocean of knowledge for today's advice and care demonstrating once more that only wise people go on living against the world's plagues and against the absence of people who live in ignorant ways. Thank you Marjon for sharing it.
