I have been writing poetry and song lyrics since 5th grade. Sister Louis introduced the class to poetry and I have been writing poetry and creating song lyrics since. Every Birthday someone gets a new poem, adults and children alike. It is a passion. I started dance at age 3 in 1942. Opened my dance studio in 1961(I'm a tapper) and I feel the timing in dance has been an asset to my poetry. I still teach tap 3 days a week. This is a new venture for me. I have been writing poetry for about 70 years. Had my children to raise and a business to run, but now I have time and have been writing like crazy. A good friend of mine said why do you do that, my answer BECAUSE I CAN AND GOD HAS INSPIRED ME. So there.
