Alimony was allowed to compete in the contest "Alliteration Celebration" because certain people didn't realize it was far more subversive than Harambe's other contest entries which were disqualified. Harambe has also been muted. Haha Harambe I own you!

<< hidden text >> about censored contests exists here for those clever enough to find it.
Any activity that hurts the enjoyment of others is not permitted. Mocking someone for creating specific, rule based, type of contests by creating contests is clearly not permitted. Both contests created today have been removed including the "Russian Church Retreat".
That's the message Harambe received from Fanstory while this discussion was going on. Harambe received a refund for them, but so what. They are only $3 apiece to host. So, what did those contests consist of?
1: Rites of Spring
Summary: write a story or poem about exciting things in spring. I don't remember all the details because the contest was deleted but as guidelines it included:
-A silly list of wholesome things that were recommended, such as James Dobson, conservative values, voting for one's favorite politician, courting, and procreation for the express purposes of perpetuating the species
-A sillier list of references that were banned, including pets adopted from the shelter, Pamela Anderson, homosexuals, Hillary Clinton, Dungeons and Dragons, pogs, gambling, catching AIDS, dancing in church, trans people, and a bunch of other things that were frowned upon in a conservative Christian school I attended back in the day.
Analysis: of course there are things here that poked fun of other contests including Jan's, but no one was named and Harambe did not just pick any one person's contests, and made the most fun of Himself.
2: Russian Church Retreat
Summary: Putin takes the Russian army on a nice retreat in the Ukranian countryside where they can get closer to God. (NOTE: Harambe had also been hosting a series of weekly sincere contests about Lent. Clearly this was a political satire contest on Russia's state religion, and not a shot at religion in general)
Analysis: this contest had nothing whatsoever to do witth Jan or anyone else, yet Jan and others had publicly complained about my previous Russian contest. On that occasion, Tom responded that there was enough censorship going around lately. Now he seems to have changed his mind. What prompted that? Did someone complain to him?
3: Cat-ass-trophy (also removed)
Summary: This was a contest about a cat fight. I don't remember the details but it got banned too. A lot of people on this site seem to be interested in cats, and a Harambe-style contest on cats was overdue.
Jan's recent contests are explicitly written to exclude not only Harambe but also adopted people, homosexuals, non-gender normative people, people with brothers, basically anyone she considers to be of an inferior class. I documented this extensively in a megathread that Tom deleted last week. Now, any public criticism of this discrimination has been repressed under the basis of "hurting the enjoyment of others", i.e. hurting the enjoyment of Jan, while she hurts the enjoyment of others. If calling that out is a bannable offense, then Harambe opts to self-ban, unless others see a better course of action.
