Hi Cody, I ejoyed reading this piece. I enjoyed the rebellious loose form. As someone else said, I'm not a critique. I'm uncomfortable reviewing. I know what I like though. Kudos. That's one scarey wife!

Simply delightful. Thank you. I love the awakening of senses this poem stimulates, because we've all be there. Makes me want to put the laptop down and curl up with a book of poets. Brilliant!

Consider "country's ailments" rather than "countries". You're still changing tenses--pick one. "Jack's training was is military..."

Stevie is a political sophisticate. A well-drawn, mature character. So, what happens next? An intriguing plot.

Of course it all depends upon where one stands, doesn't it? That's why each government has its own spies and counter-espionage experts. Re: your China posit--we have ignored or reacted in the past, and will again if it suits our national purpose. This is a dirty and ugly business, this game of nations.

I don't understand the form you've used, so I cannot comment upon it. Your message is clear enough, and I agree. This man is no "journalist". He is a propagandist with an agenda. Will the countries of the world come together and say "NO"?

I liked this Haiku. Winter is definately here. Those winds cut through you. Dusk at four-thirty - that's afternoon! I want my days back! Nice write!

If, in fact, those deaths occurred--and I don't know where your info came from, so I really can't comment on the truth of the matter (that you believe it to be true is sufficient for this discussion)--there is no excuse for that information not being reported. That is why there are down-in-the-trenches, get-your-hands-dirty investigative journalists. Assange is a indiscriminate disseminator of information for purposes of his own that have nothing to do with the principle of a free press. He is aiding, in some casses, people guilty of espionage. There is nothing honorable about that. Your concerns are valid. News should be reported. Atrocities should be reported. Legitimate government business (any government) is often-of necessity--secret and should remain so. Assange is in no way an investigative journalist--and how do you know what he releases is true? It's easy to mock-up official looking documents to disseminate over the net. Can you see the danger in relying on a source like that, unquestioned? At the moment, you won't appreciate being wished a happy holiday season, so let me simply wish you Peace. Nancy

Bravo! I love it. So tongue in cheek. Nothing will stop him, except the rain. Very clever. So true of the commitments we break because of the weather. Genuis!

Those stories are what has given me strength to face some of life's struggles. I wish I were gifted enough with words to share my "hope" with you, but doubt if "my" words would convey the message.

It is "messengers" such as this that makes it hard for truth to be proclaimed. One of my pet peeves is those who point to themselves as the example. I refer to it as the gospel of "I". The Bible sets out the way we should live and how to treat God and others. Believe me, although I try to practice it I still find it hard to always live by it.

I really enjoyed this.
It's true what they say about war. It's old men talking and young men dying.
Nice write.
