I love this poem because it is so positive and happy during a time when so much of the world is not. And I think you are right, life is good. With everything going on, I think we often lose sight of this. The image you chose is stunning, and thanks for making me feel more positive.

Sometimes I find myself even feeling a little sorry for myself the way things are, which I dislike myself for afterward, but when I find someone with problems way worse than mine, it really puts things in perspective and makes me think about what's ahead for me or for people that I love. I agree completely. I am very fearful for the future of America, and actually for the entire world. Yeah I still find beauty right in my own backyard. I live very close to beautiful Lake Champlain, and right next to the Adirondack Mountains. Please do me a favor. Go on your computer and look up the song Eve of Destruction. It was in the 60s and except for mentioning the voting age which is changed, this song is just as appropriate today as it was then. Several DJs mentioned that and I thought of it myself also. Really makes me think. But keep finding beauty in nature. We need it.

What a Horrifying story. I have lost friends before but never due to brutality. I don't know how you get that out of your head. I will pray very hard that justice is brought to those who deserve it and your friend will rest in peace.

Wonderfully written poem, not a surprise coming from you. The only problem I have with what is going on is the children. I picture my kids at that age being taken away for me and they would've completely fallen apart. That is still going on. When trumps wife went there and saw the living conditions of the children, she went home and told him that It had to stop now. But I don't think anyone knows how to stop any of this. I certainly don't. Very good poem, great image.

Beautifully written poem, very intense, sad, and yet true. I really like the image you chose because as you start up that final stair, you cannot see what's ahead. These things are on my mind quite often lately as I have lost several people I loved very much in the last few years. Several of them were very young. These situations really increase my thoughts of death and after-life. Your words about missing what is here on earth are stunning. Lovely work.

What a strong and wonderful description of love. It sounds to me as though you have found what many people spend their whole lives looking for. Is this the person you always wrote about before? If so, it sounds like your love for each other is growing stronger every day. We all have those times of insecurity or doubt, but as love and trust grow, those feelings vanish. A wonderful, very down to earth and well written poem. It is so simple in it's message. It will be nice when things are back to normal, no matter how long it takes.
