Write a Limerick
Poetry Contest
With St. Patrick's Day rapidly approaching, it's Limerick time! Please write a single Limerick for this contest.
A Limerick is a rhymed humorous or nonsense poem of five lines which originated in Limerick, Ireland. The Limerick has a set rhyme scheme of : a-a-b-b-a with a syllable structure of: 9-9-6-6-9. Though there may be other syllable counts for a Limerick, please use the 9-9-6-6-9 for this contest, for consistency.

Didn't meet quota
There once lived a con man Dakota
whose life's goal was meeting his quota
But one bad day he "tripped"
and his body was shipped
in the trunk of his new Toyota!

The message came down from Saint Quenton:
There's a convict in city of Trenton
He stirred fear in the town
till the man was shot down
by the handsome Sheriff named Swenton.
