Summery Love

Seashore, sunshine, sandy eyelashes...
That's what speaks 'holiday' to me.
But loosening up is not so easy,
Not easy at all.
At least I'm not alone—I'm never alone.
If it means being weak, then I'm one lucky weakling:
All I am scared of, is of not belonging,
Even though I never actually did.

Your arms glisten with sweat
And eyes close up in tension,
As lifting me up is not so easy,
Not easy at all:
It's my diseases, discomfort, dissatisfaction...
It takes strength to raise these flaws to the sky
High enough to give me a promise:
Today, down here—the joy will stay.

I feel the wind of gratitude blowing,
When golden sea on the horizon wavers.
Because loving me is not so easy,
Not easy at all
(That's what I thought),
And then you proved me that, in fact,
There are many difficult things,
But loving me
Is not one of them.

I recorded myself reading the poem for the first time. Sorry, if the pronunciation is not perfect - English is not my native language.
