The Endless Dance

by Quiet Guy

A restless spirit dances in the graveyard tonight.
Her beauty is haunting under the moonlight.
A lost soul that glows silver and bright.
If she allows you to get close you may see an incredible sight.
Her hair is rolled up and blonde as her gown is long and white.
Dark lipstick and pearl earrings that shine. A green eyed angel of the night.
Its unfortunate that she was so young when she died.
Tragically she passed away at the age of 29.
Un-finished business has kept her from the after life.
Sometimes I wonder if she knows that something isn't right.
In a loop she is stuck, reliving one moment in time. Holding on to a memory that makes her feel alive.
Her last dance with the living was in 1805.
There was no worry to be felt as she drank her poisoned wine.
She did the waltz with her husband like any happy bride.
Little did she know he had a lover on the side.
They say the wife was troubled and committed suicide.
The way she dances under the moon tells me that's a lie. She sparkles silver as she gracefully glides. Her soul twists and turns between the grave and the sky. She skips upon cold tombstones with a warmth in her smile.
She's dead and doesn't even know why.
A restless spirit dances in the graveyard tonight.

I had some fun with this one, I had it posted as a story, then changed it to a poem because im just a bit confused haha it tells a story but I feel like it could be considered to be a poem as well. To me the story is about an unfortunate soul being stuck on earth and why she is stuck here as well. A bit of betrayal, murder, and tragedy. Let me know if you like it and if not I appreciate your time anyways :)
