Special Ukranian Insect

by HarambeForPresident

Twinkle, Twinkle little fly
Alighting fields of winter rye
Up above the world so high
Meteor across the sky

Spelunking blades of dewey grass
'Til they're frosted knives of glass
Mother Nature's rather crass
To stuff a sparkler up your thigh

Guided by the interweb
Orange fires flash and ebb
Intelligence from USA
Guides your mission underway

Twinkle, Twinkle little fly
Stalk T-90s on the sly
With a rebel battlecry
Light it up and let 'er fry

If you pass by 'fore I wake
I pray for thee some souls to take
Where the lava rivers flow
In Kona Borehole deep below

There's a Twinkle in my eye
Each Russian you denazify
Before these days of summer die
You'll kiss those Commie tanks goodbye

Adapted from a piece I wrote about real fireflies on 07/14/14. While the exact subject of this poem is open to interpretation, the image shown above is actually an artistic rendering of a French hypersonic missile prototype. Displayed with attribution.
