I Stop and Stare

by Raffaelina Lowcock

Repetition Contest Winner

Sometimes when I am feeling down
I take a walk around the town
I see much beauty everywhere
It helps me when I stop and stare
I wander on into the park
I see the dogs I hear them bark
I see the owners how they care
It helps me when I stop and stare
Then as I turn and walk about
I change the path a different route
A path arrayed with gardens fair
It helps me when I stop and stare
Now I have changed my attitude
I know that staring’s rather rude
But seeing good folks how they care
It helps me when I stop and stare
