That was a very good story .I get to sleep mainly 1. by doing 4-7-8 breathing exercise Just 5 times and slowly one will nod off2. sometimes It does not work and I would lie staring at the ceiling fan, then by chanting 'narayana' continuously in my mind...
thanks for sharing all the good stories you get.

I have many sleepless nights worrying about various issues in my life. Excellent story to remind us that we make things much bigger than they are. Excellent advice here.

This is such an amazing write and we build up those minor problems out of all proportion and then realise that the worrying was all for nothing, this is an amazing fable, inventive and your words resonated with me here, love Dolly x

Meditation has been very helpful to me in calming down stressful situations, so I agree with your item. It's a matter of choosing which battles to fight, putting things aside. Those noisy frogs in our lives can seem so intrusive, but we have to keep things in perspective.
Maybe those frogs should be taught to meditate too, so they'd be quiet.

You make a valid point about how thoughts overrun the mind during the night usually preventing one from sleeping soundly. I enjoyed reading your story. The frog incident portrays it well. I like how you ended with what one should realize in the morning.
Thank you for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

This is a case of making a mountain out of a molehill. Of course, when we are relaxed the creepy worries assail us and they seem far greater than they actually are. Your advice about meditation is the way to go.

Cute story. Yes night are the times when the problems seem overwhelming and even one frog can make a whole log of noise and make you a little crasy. Thanks for sharing.

After having been under a doctor's care for depression, I learned some coping skills. The one that has helped me the most is not to dwell on an issue you can't work on at that moment. For example, you get a bill for something you shouldn't owe such as a doctor's bill that insurance should pay. It's 8:00 at night when you open your mail. Of course you're upset and you need to get it straightened out. However you can't even begin dealing with it till the next day because of the hour. You can't let it ruin your night or your sleep, since you can't work on it no matter how much you want. So like the Disney song; Let it go, let it go. It has worked for me immensely.

Yes, this is thought provoking, especially with the week I've had. We all have problems, it's what we do with them. Getting past the croaking, one frog at a time.

A timely word. Thank you!

I can relate. So hard to flip the switch and turn one's mind off, from worries and stress! a million frogs indeed! I use YouTube's many guided sleep meditations almost every night.
It really does help!
