I think this is an imaginative idea - supper time sounds wonderful.

I think your syllable count is out for line 3 - you have 10 syllables - and line 6 - you only have 8.

Thank you for a 5 star rating and your detailed review. I realise that you must pronounce omelette as 3 syllables whilst I speak of it as two syllables, "om let ",and ,sour I pronounce as two syllables "sow er". Such is the English language.

This was an interesting and original idea for the contest. I will admit two things. 1) this is making me hungry. 2) I was confused as to what back bacon was and to look it up. Canadian Bacon.

Thank you so much for a great review and good luck wishes. Back bacon is an item on the recipe list from our local food supplier.That is an interesting comment about Canada. I just know that back bacon comes mainly from the loin of the pig whereas streaky bacon comes entirely from the belly.
I trust that you did have something to eat after reading my piece!
