A "pick it" limerick! Yew...and oh so true! Not sore why kiddos doing to this habit but it is most commonplace! Might as well laugh about it while I'm passing around the tissues!

LOL! It IS rather grubby, isn't it?!
I must say to the kids in my class 'take your finger from up your nose' a couple of dozen times a day (yuck!)
    Best wishes, Debra x

I fail to see the fascination...

Ah, my son was the same--but not my daughter!

    A gender predisposition???

    Hmmm

Could be.... although I have a couple of girls in my class who are 'pickers' too!

Your limerick is in good form, Debra. I enjoyed reading it.
I like the ol' timey picture--a perfect match to your well-
chosen words. Great job with the style of the limerick. The
video was fun to watch. Remember, you can pick your nose,
and your friends can pick their noses. But you can't pick
your friends' noses.
Respectfully, Jan

Oh dear, these fine young boys have been informed of the dangers of nose picking with perfection in this lovely limerick.

It works, it's great good fun, and another terrific photograph to complement the fun.

Much enjoyed. :)

Lol. I can think a few more activities more important than playing "Ring Around the Roses." I remember some parents warning their children when grimacing that their face could be stuck like that. And you worked that into your limerick!

LOL! Thanks for reading and for your feedback, Helen! Can't believe you think there's more important things to do with your hands than play 'Ring Around The Roses!'

So cute, Debra! But how dirty is that? Ewww!
You know, at the brewery where I worked for 39 years, there was this fellow who worked in the lab. You have to hold a Bachelor of Science (at least) to get a job there. And could he pick? He was a miner! And not just his nose... but ears and even eyes! He had a regular smorgasbord ... because he'd eat whatever he found. It's the truth.
My granddaughter loved Peppa Pig a few years ago. She's 8 years old now, and has outgrown it. But I have two other granddaughters... one is two, the other will be two on July 31st. They'll be able to enjoy Peppa with their Grampy very soon!
Nicely penned!
Hugs,
Kimbob

    Hi Kimbob :)
Eeeuww, bleurgh! Your former work colleague sounds like an utter delight!
Enjoy kids tv with your grand babies... :) I miss 'Peppa Pig'..... my kids used to love that show. Then as they got a little older, they enjoyed 'Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom' (from the same makers as 'Peppa Pig') - Do you know that show? I think I loved it more than the kids did!
    Thanks for reading ;)
Best wishes as always, Debra :) x

Right now, Isla loves the song on Youtube called "Little Green Frog". She wants us to play it over and over!

Hahaha! Oh Debra, how adorable! Yep, a habit I think every child has tried at least once (yech!) and you couldn't have picked a cuter topic for this poetry format. I love a good limerick (must be the Irish in me) and this one is not only alliterative, funny and right on with syllable count, it is exactly the kind of topic the limerick is supposed to be without being rude.

Another awesome limerick from you! It was really gross, which I suppose most limericks are. Thank you for sharing another great poem, and best wishes to you.
