Vynrigg: I live at Ambleside in the English Lake District, which has poetic connections with Wordsworth. My favourite poem of his is "Imitations of "Immortality".
Origially I am from Skipton in Yorkshire, which is near the Bronte country. Emily Bronte's "Last Lines" is another of my favourite poems. I lived in many places inbetween some more literally famous than others.
Border Reiver: Cool! I'm Cumbrian, but I've migrated down south. Still, I love to head home. -
Cumbrianlass: My mother was born in Ambleside. My grandparents owned The Epicure years ago, and my uncle and aunt still live there. Tyson's shoe shop ring any bells?
    -
Cumbrianlass: Oh, and Jane Eyre has been my favourite book since I was nine years old - a LONG time ago!!! -
Vynrigg: Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights were two of the novels I studied as a mature student at Harlech in Wales. -
Vynrigg: I know Tyson's shoe shop with Graham and Tilly. -
Vynrigg: I also have lived down south. -
