flylikeaneagle: Why do police throw tear gas at a peaceful youth protest?
They were being a voice for a youth who was killed by the
police after he bought an ice tea for his brother. Elijah McClain
loved to play the violin and played to an audience of cats and
dogs at the animal shelter he worked for in Aurora, Colorado.
People were listening to the music as police threw teargas. Prayers.
CD Richards: Your sense of empathy and compassion is admirable. Sadly, I suspect you are in the minority. The evidence I've seen suggests that most given to praying will be praying that the police concerned aren't traumatised by people reacting to Elijah's death. And they'll be praying that all the hundreds of thousands of BLM protestors, black and white, don't infringe on their right to feel superior. -

flylikeaneagle: I hope that you are all healthy, having fun family times, and free of covid19. I submitted a chapter and ended up with many AAA in my writing. I deleted these and they showed up twice more. What is advanced editor? Which program do you copy and paste from? Do you use word or google docs before fanstory? I appreciate you all.
flylikeaneagle - nancy
Jannypan (Jan) : I use different programs so can't answer that one really. Those AAA annoying symbols are caused by something in FS when one copy/pastes.

Advanced Editor is the way to add color, italics etc. to your writing. It is at the bottom of the box where you write the text for your story or poem. Click on it, and your work gets real small, but then you can select the size font etc. from the boxed at top.

To get rid of those AAA things:

    Click on Advanced Editor
make font larger if you need too or you can do so later
    delete all those AAA things
HIGHLIGHT entire poem/prose and SAVE while highlighted--if they don't all take a hike, then do the same thing again. Be sure and SAVE. Let me know if this works--it does for me.

flylikeaneagle: I'm having a second opinion with the doctors for a monogram. Thank you for your prayers. I've noticed that people are filling their shopping carts and vans with toilet paper. Many stores are sold out. Keep our nations in prayer. I'm on praying ground for you all, too. May we be in health. God bless. flylikeaneagle - nancy
mrsmajor: I wish you all the best, I've just healed from some serious surgery, and I feel truly Blessed...I Pray all will go well for you, a second opinion, along with the initial diagnosis was so helpful in planning my surgery..I Pray things go well for you...God Bless....Victoria -

flylikeaneagle: Finished my NaNoWriMo in 22 days with 55,000 words. I turned in the words before Thanksgiving so that I could bake some pumpkin cookies for Thanksgiving. I rewarded myself by going to Frozen 2 by myself. The movie has amazing writers with their scenes and theme. Congrats to NaNoWriMo writers out there. flylikeaneagle

flylikeaneagle: April is a great month for goals such as decluttering.
I have several boxes in front of me in my daughter's
bedroom. My desire is to fill these boxes with their
old clothes and donate them to a charity.

What are your goals? How do you organize and downsize?
Feel free to share. I'll fly in soon. Maybe, I'll write about this
April project. See you soon. God bless. flylikeaneagle
mrsmajor: I'm a fool for saving things, papers, advertisements that come in the mail, and all kinds of paper that mean nothing, promising myself to read later, but it seems later never comes I will be calling a company that will come and every paper that's useless will be shredded by their machine...Then comes a call to a Church that will come and pick up the things I could never fit into again...That's how I hope to clear the stuff that's not needed anymore...BUT! that's only the beginning...lol -
Irish Rain: If I didn't use it last year, and I have no plans on using it this year...it goes. I try to only keep what I know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. -

flylikeaneagle: I ran the race and completed my 50,000-word NaNoWriMo goal under 30 days. I was just writing about an army guy walking a couple of Huskies for health. My dog was barking outside inside of her kennel. I went outside and walked on the freshly fallen snow. Much to my surprise were two beautiful tame Huskies/Malamo dogs running freely. They were hungry and so friendly. I called the cops who showed up after an hour of time. The owners retrieved their dogs. I have photos and more inspiration to add to in my NaNo. God helps us scribes in mysterious ways. flylikeaneagle - nancy

flylikeaneagle: Hi to you all...sometimes, I take a break to pray...
a senior drove to school, hit a car head on, sun was in his eyes. He's ok but hurt. Another threatened to shoot up the students at the school. A student brought a backpack of drugs to school, to sell or share? Police found these drugs.
A teacher nearly drowned in the ocean surfing...just this week.

It's my birthday...I spent the day baking my cupcakes, sharing them with people to see them smile, and singing in choir. I'm 25 again since God restores my youth like the eagles...psalm 103.

We need to connect and pray for people, be a voice, share the love of life. Jesus loves you all and so do I. Hallelujah. Amen. God bless. I'll fly back soon and post.

flylikeaneagle: My daughters, Monica and Annie, are flying home for Christmas. I've been cleaning the house and tossing stuff. I realize there are so many magazines I haven't read since I've been on FanStory. Monica said she likes poetry. I told her that she can write poetry. I bought them journals and pens for Christmas. Wow, touches my heart that my daughters want to write! I completed a novel for Writer's Digest contest with a novel in a month of 50,000 words in 30 days. " What are you waiting for?" is the title. I wrote in my daughters in the story and gave them a copy of part of the novel. I completed my challenge with 57,000 words in 27 days. My pace was 2000 words a day. One day was 5000 and another day was 8000. Yes, I will write another novel next year! The title will be, "What's in your hands?" Try it out!

God bless! Share your poems and stories with your family and friends. Merry Christmas! flylikeaneagle
TheWriteTeach: You are very lucky and blessed to have a family that cares about your writing. My family has absolutely no interest in my writing whatsoever. I quit giving them copies long ago. They just chuck it. I gave my son a copy of a story that won a contest (back in 2014) and he still hasn't looked at it. That's why I'm on FS. I need people to read my stuff who care enough to give constructive criticism and help hon the craft.

Have a super Christmas with your daughters.

    Suzanne -
I am Cat: Merry Christmas to you and the girls, Nancy! ;-) -
rama devi: Very nice. Thanks for sharing. Happy Christmas to you and your goals. Keep writing! Shining a light!

flylikeaneagle: I want to thank you all for your friendships, prayers and reviews. Yesterday, I spent the day writing 5000 words in my novel, "What are you waiting for?" This is a Writer's Digest challenge and a NaNoWriMo novel of 50,000. On Thanksgiving, I will give thanks to God for helping me reach my goal of 50,000 words in one month - ahead of November 30. This is a Matthew 28 mission to take this novel to the world. I've had two publishers call me already. With fast writing, I will have to slow down and edit this novel. Some of the people said to use writing tools. Does anyone use these while writing novels? God bless. Have a joy filled, blessed Thanksgiving you all! <>< flylikeaneagle
Kingsland: And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours... -
I am Cat: Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy! -

We may be snow bound on Monday with 12-18 inches of snow in Minnesota - good day for catching up with FS stories and poems!
Got to fly!
I am Cat: Merry Christmas Nancy! Mwah! -
michaelcahill: Hi Nancy, thanks for all your reviews this year. See, I did answer all of them. :))
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. You're one of the most positive people I've ever met. A gem. mikey -

flylikeaneagle: It is so amazing to think that high school youth drove three hours to Iowa to listen to Bernie Sanders speak at seven pm. They still have three hours to drive back afterwards. My daughters and their friends will be voting in the next election. They took the time to listen to his viewpoints. More people need to be informed and take the time to vote. Our country should encourage the youth to be leaders who care for others. Reach out and inspire a youth today. <>< Have a blessed Christmas!
flylikeaneagle
Linda Engel: I'm glad they went to see Bernie. I feel they should review ALL of the candidates and make decisions of individual leadership skills and ideas and not limit themselves to political party. -
seaglass: It's so important that young voters begin to make their voices heard. I love Bernie -

flylikeaneagle: I heard that 150 planes were cancelled last night and today going into and out of Denver, Colorado. I pray you are all safe and warm. This blizzard moved east of Denver.

Isis could be anywhere and strike anytime. Be alert and pray for our nations. Our hearts go out to Paris.
BLACKDYKE: Fanatisism is everywhere Nancy, but yours is of the Lord. Prey for me and we prey together. -

flylikeaneagle: Our nations need to stand up and pray for world peace. Our hearts and prayers go out to those who died and their families.

Our football team is competing for state today in Minneapolis, Minnesota, today. They are going out of town with a police and fire salute. This trip is three hours up and three back. I'll be praying Psalm 91 safety and protection for all going to sporting events and the nations. God hears our cries and praises!
May God bless you all and give you health and peace in Jesus Name! <>< soli deo Gloria!
mrsmajor: I so agree with your thoughts, it is a terrible time for all nations...That people are killed for no reason, but the hate of others, tears at one's heart...Yet, it is clear we all must be more careful, and aware of where we are...Only God will create a peaceful world, and He will do that...in His own time...I do Pray for all people, but especially those needlessly killed, and their families...May God hear our cries, and Praises...He is indeed worthy... -

My daughter Monica will be living with my brother and family so she can find a career here. Thank you for your prayers for Monica. I'm flying home on Spirit airlines today. flylikeaneagle: May God protect our nations as Isis schemes to kill. Pray for protection and praise the Lord as we celebrate from the mountain tops or the valleys. Jesus loves you all.

Every state is here at Loveland, Colorado, to play softball. The best teans are competing at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. People from around the world come to explore the paths of the Estes Park. We climbed 37 stories high to see the waters fall and the large mountain lakes. Jesus created the beauty of the mountains and the lands. Enjoy your Fourth of July. God bless! flylikeaneagle

flylikeaneagle: FS fans: please beware of trojans that are invading our computers from the inside. My tech support told me that they are reading and using our information. They invade the memory and slow down the computer. They are looking for banking information, etc. I am protected with firewalls. Double check your computer. God bless! flylikeaneagle
nor84: I have a firewall, too. Still suffered attack by Trojans that attach to some search engines. Be sure you have virus protection and perhaps malwarebytes protection. -
Kingsland: If someone really wants to hack your computer. It doesn't matter what protection you have, they can do it. -

I took over my daughter's bedroom for my personal exercise room, reading and writing studio. I entered my jewelry, photography, and watercolors in the county fair. I sing in two choirs in our Southern Minnesota community.
