Relda Halbert: It's been a long time since I've posted. My Bud won the victory over ALS October 23, 2018. He had been rendered a quadriplegic the last 2 years of his 7 year illness. Daily life was a crushing press of grueling medical crises, horrific physical challenges, and draining emotional needs. Even so, we depended completely on each other and our faith in God. And he died as he lived. Walking beside his Savior.
So, I'm back and ready to reconnect with my friends at FanStory.
WryWriter: Sorry for your loss. God Bless. -
damommy: I'm so sorry for your loss. I think you will find that FanStory will be very therapeutic. Welcome back. 8-) -
nancyjam: I am so sorry for your loss. I hope writing and the support of friends here will be a comfort. Welcome back. nancy -
l.raven: Hi Relda, I am so sorry for the loss of Bud...but He is with God now...so good to see you back sweet girl...love you...Linda xxoo -

Relda Halbert: Sorry for no Thanksgiving greeting. Was traveling from Tallahassee to OK city and back. Husband fell during trip (he still stubbornly insists on walking) and we spent time in ER digging rocks out of the back of his head and CT scans. He has no concussion but has lost some memory before and after the fall. Thank God he's okay - just some healing needed - but still requires fussing over.
Relda
Jannypan (Jan) : Sorry abut his fall. Take care. Jan -
mrsmajor: I'm so sorry to hear that...I certainly wish him well, you too...God Bless... -

Relda Halbert: Haven't written anything since April 30th. Inspiration hit at 5am this morning. And then a second miracle! God gave me free time to write and post! Calloo! Callay! and Hallelujah! to boot!

Relda Halbert: Been through bouts of illness at my house - but things are looking better and I hope to get back to speed with my FS friends and writing. Missed FS sorely.
I am Cat: Welcome back! -

Relda Halbert: What's the difference between ignorance and apathy?

I don't know and I don't care.
l.raven: HI Relda, CONGRATULATIONS on your wonderful win...I loved your poem...and so love your picture...love Linda xxoo -
    l.raven: A beautiful baby angel. photo baby1.gif -
l.raven: for your sweet angel...I didn't know it would be this big...you can delete it on your in if you want...an angel for an angel...love ya Linda xxoo -
    Dustybones: Funny! -

Relda Halbert: Struggled with my New Year's Resolutions all day.
I finally settled on 3:
I will STOP and be still
I will LOOK and really see
And I will LISTEN with my spirit and my heart.

    TAB_that's me: I love your choices! -
I am Cat: Relda, I like your resolutions, I just hope you make sure you're not in the middle of a road when you do that! ;)
    Happy New Year!
    Cat -

Relda Halbert: Wishing everyone at FanStory a great 2016! - Relda
Gloria ....: You too, Relda. That's some fish you there! -

Relda Halbert: I am looking for a brave soul of musical inclination and patient of ear, to collaborate in putting Daddy, daddy, my lyrics, to music ... To sing it as audio for the piece, perhaps. Got the lyrics out of my mind, but the tune is still bouncing off the brain cells. Really ... No one wants to hear me sing this. :-) :-)
flylikeaneagle: Chat with Roy, he is musical. keep singing. flylikeaneagle -
country ranch writer: Check with Mikey cahill -

Relda Halbert: Writing feeds my soul.
rama devi: Warm Welcome to FS. -
Jay Squires: Glad to have you here, Relda. Let me know if there's anything I can do. -
Selina Stambi: Welcome, Relda. Hope you're well fed on Fanstory! -
BeasPeas: Welcome to FanStory, Relda. Marilyn -
mrsmajor: Welcome to Fanstory, Relda, the place for writers...Enjoy yourself while feeding your Soul...

I have been writing ... well since I learned to spell. I was the weird kid in grade-school who cheered when teachers assigned essays. I kept a log-book for my family's boat as early as 11. My first novelette was finished at 18. My eighteenth novel at 25 - I hope you'll take my word for the novels as I have no proof. They weren't good and were never published, except on my short-lived website. But I tried to get in print. OH, I TRIED.

I'm a Christian and I was convicted by the Spirit, many years ago, that I HAD TO DESTROY EVERYTHING I HAD EVER WRITTEN. Hurt like ... well, you know. I obeyed in tears. Bonfire to paper, scissors to mag cards/floppies (yes, I am 'that' old), and hammer to CD's. I removed all from the internet - actually thought it was all gone, but found a review still out there. God didn't tell me if He'd let me write again. More like, "We'll see." (Every child's - as in God's child - dreaded answer. Divine limbo.) Recently, He woke me in the wee hours and said, "It's time."

Been happily writing my heart out as time permits. Which is little. My Bud, love of my life, passed from ALS October, 2018. Since then, I've been developing our property into a Spiritual Retreat. Big job! Frustrating. Fulfilling. Fun!

My heart to all who write. May we all have someone who will read.
