Amy Rowell: Even though it is a gloomy day in Tennessee, I am walking on sunshine!
Dean Kuch: It's nice and sunny here in southeastern Ohio.
    -
    Jannypan (Jan) : Sunny & 77* here! -
Amy Rowell: I am so jealous! -

Amy Rowell: There are people who live to be a thorn in your side. Learn to live with it. It will make you a stronger person. Learn to smile when your heart is aching then write!
flylikeaneagle: May your pain be your gain. May your mess be a message of hope. Appreciate the beauty of the roses. flylikeaneagle - nancy -
Dean Kuch: No pain, no gain.

Amy Rowell: My favorite song is, Moon River. I know it is weird but it makes me feel melancholy yet I love it. It seems sad yet it makes me happy. Does that make any kind of sense? Lol
michaelcahill: Some things are just like that. Hard to resist ...

Dean Kuch: Yes, Amy. It makes perfect sense to me. -
Amy Rowell: (Smile) Thanks Michael! I am glad I am not alone, Dean! Lol -

Amy Rowell: I have been full of frowns lately but someone just reminded me to Smile!
    DR DIP: sweet

Amy Rowell: My iPad has gone crazy or the site is acting up. Every time I edit and save the changes it don?t change.
Amy Rowell: See.... that dang question mark shows up everywhere! -
michaelcahill: That's a weird thing that happens using smart apostrophes or something like that. It shouldn't happen if you type directly into the site. But there's a way to go into word and change it, but I forget how. Someone should know though. HEY! Someone, tell her. It's not your Ipad though, IT'S US! LOL -
Amy Rowell: Thanks Michael! I do noctice it happens if I type don?t but it doesn?t show up as I?m typing. It?s strange. -
Amy Rowell: Oh it?s using a ? Instead of apostrophe -
Jannypan (Jan) : Those annoying ????? show up in the forum all the time. Also when copying/[asting where ther are none, you may end up with a bunch in YOUR writing. Most annoying & difficult to delete. They just keep going & going & going . . . . -
Jannypan (Jan) : That's copying/pasting. FS would not allow me to correct it. That is something else that is annoying--not being able to make corrections when posting comments on this profile thread page here!!!! -
Amy Rowell: I know, Jan, I tried and tried to edit and correct but those ??? Keep hanging out! Grrrr -

Amy Rowell: I love Christmas shopping almost as much as I like writing and paintings!
Gloria ....: That's great, Amy! I would like some of those fuzzy knee-high socks with rubber dots on the bottom if you don't mind. Kidding. I do like those socks though. :) -
Amy Rowell: Lol I love socks too girl!
    -

Amy Rowell: Sunshine, thunder and rain here in middle Tennessee today! When I was growing up, the saying goes...."When it rains and thunders while the sun is out, the devil's beating his wife." What in the word! Lol where did that come from!?! Have y'all ever heard that? Lol It just might be some southern Mississippi thing! D-a-n-g.......!
Jannypan (Jan) : Never heard of it. But here in Texas, we have 'gullywashers.' -
damommy: Yes, we always say that, too. -

Amy Rowell: If you don't like the life you're living, write a new one!
Brett Matthew West: That way you can be anything you want to be. :) -
Amy Rowell: That's right, Brett! -

Amy Rowell: With pen and paper, you can travel the world, be whoever you want to be, and do whatever you desire!

Amy Rowell: In friendship's garden there are scattered seeds of love everywhere you go!
DR DIP: nice, I like that

Amy Rowell: Embrace everyday with a smile! 🙂
DR DIP: EMBRACE EVERY DAY WITH A SMILE

Embrace every day with a smile
    Always show your grille
    It really makes, life worthwhile
    Everyone knows it will

Just start off with a little grin
    As someone walks your way
Showing a smile is not a sin
It can really make their day

A smile is what the world needs now
And a bit of laughter as well
    The world's too sad anyhow
    It needs a happy spell

    So start the day everyday
With a smile and blow a kiss
See what comes, back your way
    It's something you shouldn't miss

Amy Rowell: If it's gloomy outside pull out your pen and paper, write some sunshine into your day!😀
mrsmajor: Hmmm thats a good Idea! -
Brett Matthew West: Writing something new and creative makes every day that much better. -
DR DIP: Amy I really love that line This inspires me to write a poem "write some sunshine in your day"

    dip -
    Amy Rowell: 🙂 -

Amy Rowell: If you find yourself with writer's block, pick up a paint brush!
    F. Wehr3: Good advice! If you paint yourself into a corner, start writing. -
Amy Rowell: There's something about painting that is therapy for me. Whether it's walls, furniture or canvas! It's saved me tons of money! Lol -

Writing, painting and hiking
I was born and raised in Mississippi but have lived in Tennessee for over 20 years. I have deep southern roots that reflect in my writing and painting. I Consider myself a barnyard artist. I love painting cows! My art is featured in Tennessee and Mississippi.

I put my writing on the back burner for more than 20 years. I've recently picked up the pen and started again! I'm a little rusty but I'm having a great time! I've had a few poems published early on but my dream is to publish and illustrate a picture book for children. Mostly likely about some barnyard animal!
