You are stranded on a tropical island! (Maybe from a capsized boat, it's up to you). It's very small and stuck out in the pacific ocean somewhere. What three things do you have on you? Make it as real and lifelike as possible incorporating all your five senses.
How will you survive the harsh conditions of heat and torrential winds?
How do you survive the three months before help arrives?
How do you get through the dark and lonely nights?
These and many other questions need answering as you embark on a story of survival.
500 to 2,000 words.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 30.00 member dollars. There are 12 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 5 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
