Poetry Contest
The topic for this poetry contest is: OCTAVIAN FLOW.
Write a poem that somehow incorporates the poetic format. The poem does not have to be specifically about anything more than a picture of idea that you muse around with... So, creative approaches are very welcomed. However, you must make sense, unless, maybe, if you use only onomatopoeia (sounds). But contest voters will be asked to consider the poetic format when making a choice for a winner.

The purpose of the Octavian Flow is to tell a story in 8-lines with rhymes. You basically accomplish the 5-Why's (who, what, where, when, why) and maybe a How too.

Time to think real hard, Time to make a wish
From a dandelion picked in the yard
Blow but do not squish, Blow and watch seeds spin
Up, down, all around and with a soft swish
Hope freed from within, Hope spreads straight from you
Innocence so sweet it seems like a sin
A wish will go through, And work its wonders
For a childhood fantasy to come true.
Also, lyenocka (aka Helen) was the first to try out my poetic concoction; Octavian Flow. A Well-Published Plumber written by lyenocka (aka Helen) on May 19th 2020 is a great poetic example too.
There is no real right or wrong just storytelling with rhymes. Get playful. Have fun. And thank you for entering this Octavian Flow Contest.
