Color Less? Color More!

by David Sumich

Far be it from me to say
I'm one of 1000 shades of gray
From morning light to end of day
There's no color here.

It's just the price we pay to play
No one made a simpler way
Some left, some chose to stay
There's no color here.

So hear my voice God when I pray
Mold this lovely lump of clay
Make me beam like a sunshine ray
'Til there's color everywhere.
