Who Mentioned You?

"Who mentioned you? That's kind of rude isn't it?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Your shirt. It says 'Who mentioned you.'"

"No it doesn't...wait, oh, ha, ha, ha, no, it says 'who mentored you?."

"Well, that doesn't make any more sense than what I said before."

"No, you don't understand, I got this for helping at the bowling tournament today."

"You're not making any sense. What bowling tournament. We don't have a bowling alley here."

"No, it was down at the school gym. Big Brothers and Big Sisters asked if I would help, and they gave me the shirt for helping out."

"Oh. Well that explains that. I thought maybe you were going to wear that at school and make a bunch of already insecure kids feel even worse."

"I think I'll leave that to you."

This exchange actually happened. When my youngest daughter heard it, she had to make shirts for everyone.
