Where has it all gone

The Destination

by artemis53

It is about the screaming
a roar of fire,
the titanium spring
tightened to the breaking point,
the execution of an explosion
tearing mercilessly
and decimating all you possess
your spirit strewn in pieces
Never to be
assembled again...
the Nothing
that holds so much
and offers so little...
that flash of lightning
as synapses crackle
just before
the awful
'Darkness Absolute.'

It is the abyss
the lack of control
as one falls through thin air
no choices granted as the chaos
wraps its hands
tightly about you
drawing down,
a puppet
twisted in it's strings
unable to move...
to stop the accelerating
motion mounting
bringing you closer
to the fear of nothingness
that has been wrought
in one's desolate being.

No saviours...
no heroes,
just the plummet
and silent screams
one has practiced
their whole life

As nothingness
prepares to

Salute her.
