1-6-1 poetry writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Write a 1-6-1 syllable poem. It has three lines. The first line has 1 syllable, the second one 6 syllables and the last line 1 syllable. The subject can be anything. However the three lines have to rhyme.

Some people have no shame when it comes to disparaging others. But there should be an exception with the war hero and respected politician, the late Senator John McCain. No, I am not a republican, but I am a Vietnam Vet who served two tours, and I hold up John McCain as a man who deserves respect. John McCain put his life on the line for our country through his military service and spent six years as a prisoner of war as a result, after which he served his country honorably for over 30 years in public office. I am not a hero, but John McCain is. Sen. McCain represented the best of America with friends and colleagues on both sides of the political spectrum being proud of him including his 2008 presidential opponent, Barack Obama. I'd like to rebut one disparaging statement with: I was always a fan of John McCain and I always will be.
