My Aunt Millie

by Becky Kern-Taylor

I have a great aunt who's so sweet.
She actually knows how to tweet.
Well, Sunday she needed some cream.
Her face has to look like a dream.

And after she bought her Olay.
She thought she would call it a day.
She got in her car at the mall.
Then made an emergency call

She told them that something was wrong.
She hoped it would not take them long.
A guard got to her very quick.
He hurried he thought she was sick

He found her and he was relieved.
It wasn't as bad as believed.
He saw she had not been abused.
But knew she was very confused.

She said it was just as she feared.
Her steering wheel had disappeared.
The guard said to her very sweet.
"My dear, you're in the back seat".

Of course this is not a true story, but I did have an Aunt Millie. She died before there was any dimentia, but she was very aware.
