"Touchstones Within Us" by Ronni
Sometimes certain names, places or times
are so serenely hued touchstones as if Divine
has tapped another's heart, face, smile or event
to reach out and forever glow within us
to all the more glorious depth of soul

It may have been years ago or even yesterday
but each and every one in this blissful recall
may have changed our life in some cherished way
through simple conversation, warm hug, nostalgic
gift, leisurely meal or coffee break, in person
or no less so, by mail or distant 'virtual' device

Each one, many times, in ominous bidding relay
has helped us to grow, heal, learn or redeem
even if for brief moment sweetly, devoutly
sealed a jaunty laugh, love, hope, subtle peace
multiple blessings that never end or fade away
as guided by God, why, when, where, how
and when they should cross our paths through
His Love; attuned, aligned ever sacredly within us
