I don't know what I write until I write it. I make mistakes, but what I write comes from my heart. I used to post what I wrote that same day. Now, I take a little more time because I write to make you smile.

Today is the first day of our lives.
"Yesterday is Gone" by poetwatch
Time took a step forward and left behind
The tears of yesterday in the sunshine.
It came into my eyes and life appeared
The sights were kisses with the sky so clear.

What can I do or say? I love today,
A dark and dreary day was Yesterday.
The anger flashed that night as new fought old
The struggle was a sight, one to behold.

As Thunder roared and Lightning played the sky,
From buckets, rain fell like tears clearing eyes.
New Year the victor, yesterday is gone,
A memory that passed, we're not alone.

Our Father lights the heavens, gives us cheer.
His Son will shower us with love this year.
So let's start the New Year with smiles galore,
Share them with everyone, share your vigour.

Author Notes
Last week it was cloudy, cold, and rainy. the day before Yesterday was ugly, it rained and rained slowly but surely. The sky was filled with thunder and lightning, the coming end of an old year. Yesterday it was cloudy and rainy with fireworks lighting the sky. Today the sun appeared in my window, a God-given sign. We all will have a great new year.
