Time, the tyrant always dying,
running out, there is a drought;
crying, sorrow, death defying,
how can it be running out?
Fortify, resolve the drying,
meet each day and sunny ray;
vigour in this new designing,
count your blessings, make them pay.
Happy hours will bear bright flowers,
spending time in writing rhyme;
pen a word to quell the showers,
letters in sweet verse and chime.
Watching nature, always praying,
each new dawn has much to mourn;
paint your garden with your staining,
colour it with fresh green lawn.
Let your heart begin departure,
don't regret, try to forget;
fill your scenes with views that charter,
not with paint that's counterfeit.
