Message Passing
"Chinese Whispers"

“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on”
“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on.”
“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on.”
“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on.”
The whisper passed around the classroom sounding like the buzzing of bees. The teacher, as usual, remained oblivious to the activity, naively thinking that his students were paying attention to his lecture. They were not.
“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on”
“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on.”
“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on.”
“It’s happening tonight. Pass it on.”
The class nerd jumped with surprise as the message sounded in his ear. Sitting up straight in the front row he was hanging on to the teacher's every word and taking factual notes. He had never had a whisper passed to him before and it made him feel somewhat important. He had no idea what was happening tonight, so he cleared his throat and whispered back rather loudly:
“What’s happening tonight? Pass it on”
“Whas happening tonight? Pass it on.”
“What’s happening tonight? Pass it on.”
“What’s happening tonight? Pass it on.”
Round and round it went, the bees flew from flower to flower becoming more and more excited. At the back of the class eyes rolled and heads shook in disgust. Who didn’t know!! Once again, a message went out:
“Nev the Nerd’s getting bashed. Pass it on”
“Nev the Nerd’s getting bashed. Pass it on”
“Nev the Nerd’s getting bashed. Pass it on”
“Nev the Nerd’s getting bashed. Pass it on”
Up front, Nev smiled to himself and continued taking notes.
