Ahhh. Dearest Yelnaa...
It is with your Sonnet
that you have inspired our own wings
urgings to soar and fly. Any one of
us can be beset with broken, tattered
or fragile wings; seeking someone to
comfort and heal. To live, hope, feel,
believe, trust and love again, for yet
another day. Each and every sonnet you
write, you fashion yet another dream,
lift up, caress and coax another
struggling wing to fly. As you give
wings to us, we obligngly, lovingly
offer wings to you in return.

Happily, I've had the privilege of
perusing over many of your mangnificent
sonnets, many an hour, many a day.
With caring heart and soulful embrace,
praised the gifts of kindred spirit
and loved friend, I too have floated
on the wondrous soarings of your ever
irrisistable wings! To the extent that
I am able and God favors me with the
grace to do so and exclaim the same
joyous refrain as the last chorus line
of the song "Wind Beneath My Wings":

you let me fly so high
so high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky
thank you...thank you...thank God
for YOU...
the wind beneath my wings...."

With love, hugs and blessings
always: RONNI

Author Notes
Yelena: You Tube has a great recording of this song by
Bette Midler. Another one by Nana Marcouri (on Google)
has song and lyrics both in English and Russian.
