In the solitude of my room
Tears stream down my cheeks
I ask, "Why me, God?"

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5

His arms surround me
Giving the comfort I desire,
Yet I ask, "Why me, God?"

"Weeping may endure for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning." Psalms 30:5b

"Have faith, my child," He answers,
"If you can't continue the journey,
Lean on me, if you must."

"Peace I leave you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

His tender touch dries my tears.
His strength fills my heart.
God's healing power walks with me

"I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans, I will come to you." John 14:18

I do not walk alone
His Light and Presence
Guide me through my sorrows.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
