Chapter 61 of the book 2020 - 2
just for fun
"My Dog and Me" by Barb Hensongispsaca
I'm Cowboy Jim that's who I am.
I am polite - "Yes, Sir and Ma'am".

I love my gal, I love my horse,
and apple pie of course, of course.

I'll ride the range to wrestle cows.
I love my beans, they make good chow.

I love the night, quiet and dark.
What thrills me most is my dog's bark.

Sometimes he barks to just find me,
or at a 'coon up in a tree.

He herds the cows when I'm asleep.
He does know how to earn his keep.

He never rests, always on guard.
He keeps me from leaving the yard.

He don't complain, he listens good.
He never talks, I wish he could.

He sleeps with me and keeps me warm.
He keeps me from all kinds of harm.

I can shoot straight, I have a gun.
It just shoots caps but lots of fun.

When I grow up, I want to be
the best cowboy you'll ever see.

I'll ride my horse and guard my gal.
My flop-eared dog will be my pal.

The book continues with I'm In. We will provide a link to it when you review this below.
