Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
"They Witnessed" by Raffaelina Lowcock
There was a Teacher with twelve who followed
Who then despaired yet later mellowed
His Word they heard and did believe
They worshipped Him and did conceive
This human man that held the Key
The path to true Divinity
They saw many miracles performed
And watched the people as they swarmed
When He was taken captive, they were there
They watched Him tortured, stripped and bare

They saw Him dying on the cross
This was the end, their fatal loss.
But then there was the empty tomb
He then appeared within The Room
He filled them with the Holy Spirit
With His Word, they were alit
They watched as He ascended to the sky
No need, at last, to ask Him why?
Then four took pen and wrote the Word
The things He said that no one heard

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John

They wrote what they saw and what they heard
Sparing nothing, they have written His Word
They told it all, the truthful story
From beginning to end, in all its glory
They ended by dying for what they believed
Martyred, for what they conceived.

How is it I wonder some still can’t believe?
