Dream on!
"Talk of a New Deal" by Raffaelina Lowcock
Let’s recreate the world!
If this is your reality
I wonder how the world can be
A random mass of hills and dales
Clean oceans full of funky whales
An Arctic full of bears and ice
A world where everyone is nice
Where nothing goes against the grain
And not a one will be insane.
Should we rebuild our house, our homes
To make them windowless as domes?
Kill the cows, no more ice cream
Remember beef inside your dreams
Forget your job we’ve banks of money
A guaranteed wage is no baloney
Your education is paid for if you so decide
Forget the gas and oil you no longer ride
A car or fly in planes
We have-to stop the flooding rains
I do not know about the trains
We have twelve years to start again
You have got to be all in; can’t have any doubt
Commit yourself that is what it’s all about
Forget the sex we can’t have children in this kind of world
Not yet, wait ‘til this is all unfurled
Come on, you see we must be faster
Else all is lost in this disaster
Oh, wait a minute, I forgot
Some of these things could come to naught
What about the Word of God?
Do you think He'll give the nod?

Author Notes
Does this give you pause? Who needs education if we are guaranteed a wage?
