Elaine's birthday.
"She's the jewel in my crown..." by royowen
.

She is the jewel in my crown,
the golden tassel in life's gown.
She spurns what's false, she dons no pride,
God's truth walks always by her side.

She smiles at life, won't wear a frown.
She is the jewel in my crown.
She wears no pearls, nor gems to light,
her humble heart's like grace in flight.

Never cruel, or falsely vain,
and yet her courage bears grief's pain.
She is the jewel in my crown,
that bears me up when I am down.

We've shared so much, our love, our dreams.
Our children carry hope's bright beams.
In God we share a three strand cord,
no stronger bond in love's accord.

She bears me up when I am down.
She is the jewel in my crown.

Author Notes
29/10 is Elaine's birthday, we have been together for 49 years, next year will be our golden jubilee. Before God made a sudden and dramatic entry into my life, she was there when I wasn't, she has remained faithful when I wasn't, but God renewed my life, and brought stability for my children, they were very young when that happened.
God restores, renews, makes straight paths, and levels heights. Elaine is the kindest, most faithful human being I know...ask her friends, her children, her grands.
My darling, this for you, happy birthday.
Thanks for reading. Roy Owen.
