Chapter 163 of the book Daily Blessings from God
Daily Blessings - The Sapphonic Triad
"Fruitful Thoughts"
by Sandra du Plessis
|
"Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart
and of a good conscience, and faith unfeigned." (1 Timothy 1:5)
His last command
to being relief
with loving hearts;
for those in need.
Let your faith be strong and sincere
have fruitful thoughts;
keep your deeds purposeful.

Author Notes
The Sapphonic Triad
This form is an invention of our own Cliverde (Carol) and Pantygynt (Jim).
The form is as follows:
A two-line quotation (Free verse but the max total of sixteen syllables - must be concise and memorable) followed by a quatrain, four lines each of four syllables finally an 8-4-6 syllable envoi that moves us on somewhere...it should have a "satori" feeling.
You can use rhyme if you want, as done here:
"...pale flash not seen as slow you sink;
rocked evermore at Heaven's brink."
In bleak distress,
rejected maid
made her redress,
her pen a blade.
She wrote his lonely death at sea--
Inglorious!
and scored her page with glee.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(or without rhyme)
"O wind, if winter comes
can spring be far behind?"
Let us linger
beneath these trees,
yellow-gold and rose,
this pewter sky.
River tumbles in jade and bronze;
riffles whisper--
O stay, stay! Won't you stay?
