"Moneychangers Out" by Bill Schott
Yesterday --
the U.S.A was king;
integrity and strength was our thing.

This morning --
America's weaker;
the planet's future, so much bleaker.

Tomorrow --
we will regain our clout,
and run all the money-changers out.

Author Notes
Our place in the world is as a rudder, to guide the others to a global view that gives everyone a chance. We have just seen an America run by greed, that was easily endorsed by throwing gold coins to the electorate to keep them silent while the king's cabinet sold off federal land, sacrificed the environment, belittled and broke faith with our friends, and lied like a cheap rug daily.

Trump was supposed to be a shock to the system, to get Congress off their asses. Congress remained on their asses and chose power and privilege over honesty and the common good.
