A poem.
"I don't believe"
by royowen
|
I don't believe we own our lives, just rent it for some years.
Our body merely takes the load, by magic, cracks appear.
And somewhere in the darkest space, the recess of the mind.
The soul makes plans devoid of grace, in essence it is blind,
Who gave the spark that lights fate's path, to where and what's its plot.
We still possess some common sense, yet pride can fill that spot.
I've seen a thousand sliding doors, but only tried a few.
Somehow I knew those vessels leaked, their emptiness I knew.
Some guiding hand would lead me on, a voice was also there.
It brought some comfort, reassured, though didn't know from where,
Some wisdom came and filled my soul just how I do not know.
When blind eyes see, with sight restored, it sets one's soul aglow
Now when a spirit's brought to life it cannot ever die.
It's just as God intended life, those scales will fall from eyes.

Author Notes
When God finally got a hold of my life, I started to see things that had rarely impinged on my consciousness, I suddenly saw the sunset through a different lens, how all of them were subtly different and all beautiful, I could see the majesty of God in His creation.
John 3:3 ''Jesus answered and said unto him. "Truly, truly , I say to you , unless you are born again you cannot see the kingdom of God.''
Ezekiel 36:26 "I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you, I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
