My teen adopted son's struggle to feel at home
"An Anger Unresolved" by Kirsten Marie Peterson
My sweet son came to my foster home at just six days old,
because his birth mom held drugs as her personal gold.

Years have passed and his anger has grown,
Now a teenager he feels oh so alone.

A family, friends, good school, trips all to behold,
But what he thinks about makes him feel heartless and cold.

My unconditional love he has been shown,
But all he wants is the love of a mom unknown.

Author Notes
Just a short poem about the mental illness my son has, reactive attachment disorder, from no prenatal care and being separated from his birth mom.
