A hemmed ballad.
"I watch..."
by royowen
|
I watch the fading sun retreat,
as twilight draws the night.
I hear the melodies of time
compose the songs of light.
Go, seek your path among the throng.
amidst this noise you'll hear God's song.
For I have tasted want my friend
yet never tasted need.
And I will choose to spurn the dark,
and in its light plant seed.
For I am loved and feel my way,
and in life's darkness find the day.
