Chapter 55 of the book 2020 - 6
just because
"Did I Remember To ...?" by Barb Hensongispsaca
Dear Lord, did I thank You today for taking care of me?
For promising me streets of gold throughout eternity?
Did I thank You for ears to hear the butterfly's soft flight?
See beauty of a puppy's smile through understanding sight?

Did I thank You for pain free days to feel that I'm alive?
And patience as You guide me to enforce my stubborn drive?
The touch of grass upon my feet and knees while I'm in prayer?
I thank You for your never ending love and tender care.

The gentle smell of lilac blooms, to cleansing touch of rain?
I even call Your name throughout the pains that wax and wane.
Did I thank You for peace of mind in knowing I belong
to You, the shepherd of my life, to teach me right from wrong?

Forgive me for the thoughtless times Your parentage I'd test
for I am only human and at times not at my best.
You understand my ways, I'm sure, but still I have to say
I thank You for each breath I take as I kneel down to pray.

The book continues with The Goodbye. We will provide a link to it when you review this below.
