The evils of uncontrolled jealousy
"Jealous Suspicion" by nomi338
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
When we're apart, my mind will wonder.
Do you think of me, or is there another?
Are you with friends, or with a secret lover?

I torture myself with this suspicion.
I'm pushed into a bad position.
I must master my jealousy.
Or wind up where I don't want to be.

Friends say I have no reason to fear.
Their words go into and out the other ear.
Love is a treasure that I would hate to lose.
The path I maneuver is mine alone to choose.

I do not expect you to cheat.
Jealous suspicion I must defeat.
This love is a love that I eagerly sought.
I must not harbor another jealous thought.

Jealousy is evil, it can ruin the best and most promising relationship, if it is not kept under control.
