A short poem remembering a lost love.
"Haunting"
by fm wright
|
In the midst of the garden I see her standing there,
I watch, getting lost in the tresses of her hair.
I can taste the honey dripping from her lips,
inviting me to come to her and take a sip.
The fragrance of her, it does take my breath away;
for its as intoxicating as any rose boquet.
Though my arms ache to reach out and draw her near,
the moment I should do so, she would disappear;
for one night from this world she was abruptly taken.
Now I'm trapped in a haunting from which I can't awaken.
