"Images of Our Lady"
by dovemarie
|
Our Lady's face is the face of a child,
Sweet, innocent and undefiled
Her face can be lined with age
Reflecting the wisdom of a sage
Our Lady stands
With flowers in Her hands
The lily, the carnation, the rose
Their sweetness and purity crush our foes
Our Lady's tilma image in Mexico
shines with the memory of St. Juan Diego
Our Lady is a combination of races...
African, Mexican, European faces
Our Lady blends Present, Future and Past,
Like the Spirits in Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" cast
Our Lady is reflected in Bernadette's spring,
Inspiring hearts to gloriously sing
Our Lady's tears are mixed with rainfall
Let us respond joyfully to Her call
