A poem
"Success..." by royowen
Success is built on mountain sides,
where ice winds blow and hard rock slides.
And yet our faith is built on rock,
to which those called like sheep will flock.

We hear a voice and know not whom,
it's He who saves (to some sin's doom)
I heard His voice one day in spring,
I wore His love that makes hearts sing.

I knew Him not and yet I knew
that winds of God in my soul blew.
My life was turned wrong side down,
I knew someday I'd wear a crown.

As I grow old I now know how
hope's seeds in grounds of faith will plough.
I know my God, the great I Am,
eternal now, salvation's plan.

Author Notes
When I finally understood who Christ was, life had worn me down,
I then knew that all folk were valuable to God, none has more worth than someone else. Not colour of skin, giftedness or rich, or poor, housed or homeless, short or tall, proud or humble. (but if humble, God can get through to you.)

James 4:6 God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Thanks for reading. R.Owen.
