Chapter 8 of the book Psalms Of Spring
Spring and myth.
"April Again" by dellsworthpoet
The Holly King has lost his reign---
the Oaken King now does hold sway.
Wheel of the world has turned again
and fruitfulness will have its way.

The Reindeer Goddess shakes her prongs,
her antlers no more hold the sun.
She's guarded it all winter long,
now cold darkness again is done.

Ceres now raises sleepy eyes
and sets thoughts on germination
for on her shoulders again lies
a duty--- feed all the nations.

Through all ages and religions
springtime exerts a mighty pull.
The Fates come to the decision
that live again be strong and full.

Once again it becomes bloom time.
Once again winter meets defeat.
Once again there is reason and rhyme
and each again it stays most sweet.

The book continues with Farmer's Spring. We will provide a link to it when you review this below.
