I look at him he's gone again
What’s on his mind I want to know
With all I've tried I can't reach him
Like rocks repel a water’s flow
What’s on his mind I want to know
How does he feel I wish I knew
Like rocks repel a water’s flow
My comfort’s not his avenue
How does he feel I wish I knew
My son declines to come near me
My comfort’s not his avenue
His jumbled thoughts are his decree
My son declines to come near me
With all I've tried I can't reach him
His jumbled thoughts are his decree
I look at him he's gone again
