Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
Destructive Nature
"Katrina" by mbagby23
She came on angered wings of wind
And furiously monstrous waves
Empowered as if by Poseidon
No birds were singing
No bees were buzzing
Families all scattered
Homes completely shuttered
Broke through the levees
We're now living
Under the sea

Author Notes
After ten years we look back on Hurricane Katrina.
Poseidon is the Greek God of the Seas.
