Lovers have a blooming romance.
"The Garden of Love"
by Linda Engel
|
Henrietta Bozzard
was strolling her yard
admiring her pretty daffodils.
When her lover appeared
sporting a newly groomed beard
offering tasty delights and thrills.
What started at noon
lasted well past the moon
and continued till the new morning sun.
Then her lover left town
with a smile, not a frown
leaving Henrietta adoring their fun.
Many a letter was written
for he certainly was smitten
and vowed to return full of love and devotion.
On the day he arrived
his eyes opened wide
for her belly was big as the ocean.
Quick arrangements were made
then the preacher was paid
and the couple was blessed in heaven.
And not a minute too soon
for Henrietta did swoon
and the "blessing" was born half past seven.

Author Notes
It is about time my muse showed up. I don't know where she has been but she returned all giggly. She said, "Take it or leave it. It's all that I have." I took it and ran since I haven't written any thing in months. One of those days I was creating at work instead of doing my work. I would have posted earlier but my sis and I play bingo on Wednesday night. I won $50.00 . Last week I won $200.00.
Thank you to one my favorite artists, Linda Bickston from Fan Art. She is awesome.
