Chapter 12 of the book My poetry Book
Nature taking back one of its own
"Storm Angels" by kahpot
she was taken away for freedom of life
the day I was kneeling to ask for a wife
praying with Angels for us to be bound
when a flash of light lit up the ground
from a menacing storm starting to grow
retrieving its own from a dying meadow
Angels were sending a message to me
this love that I'm asking just cannot be
my answer is given by a wanting storm
as it came to release her mortal form
with whispers of freedom smiling aloud
in protection of heavens brightest cloud
rain and wind were sweeping the land
sending all creatures to a higher stand
when thunder joined in lightning's fight
and deathly claps scared birds to flight
the last I could see was carrying my love
her heart set free on the wings of a dove
the storm now passing to leave me alone
to look in the rain where love had flown
a storm that knew what I wouldn't hear
a drowning heart desperate with fear
sinking deep in the ground to finally close
when the earth grew soft as the water rose
I'll see my love when the heaviest rain falls
roaming with nature and her storm Angels
