a little brother gets revenge on a prankster
"Little Brother Jack" by Linda Engel
Jack was the younger of the two boys
His older brother, Tim, was their mother's sweet joy.
But Tim was a scoundrel, somewhat a mean brat.
He looked for ways to torture young Jack.

One day Tim thought it clever to put a frog into Jack's boot.
Tim laughed and giggled, "This will certainly be a hoot."
Jack slipped on his boot and Tim waited for a scream.
But all was too quiet. This was not a mean scheme.

Tim peeped through the door to find the frog in Jack's hand.
Smiling Jack jumped to the floor. This was not Tim's mean plan.
Jack snickered, "I have a new frog and this one's a big winner."
Then Jack cut the frog into tiny pieces to mix into Tim's dinner.

Author Notes
I saw the sweet picture Jax gave for inspiration. She knows me to put a twist on it with a story in a poem. I haven't written in a long time and my muse told me to check this one out. I hope to be back sharing more with you all.
